I use it in spotlight for illuminating lawn and it's like a Sun - very bright with pleasant warm temperature colour.
I takes few (2-3) minutes to reach full brightness and colour (at first it is more greenish), but this lamp is not meant to be switched on/off every few minutes, so this is not really a drawback.
