The small 16 mm diameter of the lamp allows for a small system design and design flexibility.     Medium Pressure Mercury lamps are available in a wide range with an arc length between 10 and 140 centimeter. The lamps can be fitted with various types of end fitting from our catalogue, or equipped with customer special fittings, cables or pins. The lamps are made from selected types of quartz glass, with transmission characteristics tailored to the application. Medium Pressure Mercury lamps contain sophisticated quantities of mercury bromides, providing a self-cleaning halogen cycle, to control the depreciation of UV radiation over lamp life.

    Philips Dynapower system consists of an electronic DynaPower driver that operates one or two TUV Amalgam 230W, 260W and 335W XPT lamps. This system is extremely reliable and robust. The driver allows for immediate energy savings compared to similar drivers on the market. Moreover, it can be dimmed down to 60% power level for additional energy savings. Further energy savings are realized by the TUV Amalgam XPT lamps, because they can be dimmed down to reach the same UV output as similar lamps on the market.
