SICCA L-R 150W red filter, Osram Beam angle (degrees): 25 Diameter d (mm): 127 Average life (h): 5000 Length l max. (mm): 185 SICCATHERM® lamps are high-quality heat lamps. Most of their radiated energy is in the infra-red range (heat). The proportion of visible radiation (light) is low. SICCATHERM® infra-red lamps are used for raising poultry, pigs, calves and foals.
Please note:
Considerable heat is produced. Operate the lamps only in suitable equipment. Protect the lamp against moisture and splashes.
How the lamps work in raising animals:
Animals typically grow faster owing to their greater appetite and improved extraction of nutrients in their fodder. They develop increased resistance to disease and no longer crowd together for warmth. Breeding losses are therefore reduced. Hay remains dry and stalls stay clean and hygienic for longer. This increases the efficiency of the entire livestock operation. These infra-red lamps are also used for varnish and paint curing, burn-in processes and distillation.
How the lamps work in drying:
The infra-red radiation penetrates the material to be dried and is absorbed by it. There is virtually no heat dissipated to the surrounding air. The advantage is that the entire material is heated, not just the surface. The drying process is so efficient that it is equivalent to enlarging the evaporation area several times over. SICCATHERM® lamps are also used in food processing for pasteurising and drying. |
