HNS® germicidal and ozone generating lamps kill bacteria by emitting short-wave UVC radiation and are therefore used for sterilising. HNS® germicidal lamps have the following properties and advantages:

Erasure of memory chips (EPROMs) Please note: Correct operation is only guaranteed if the lamps are used in equipment specially designed for them. They should therefore be installed only by the manufacturers of such equipment. The radiation from HNS® lamps poses a health risk. They can cause conjunctivitis and sunburn after only brief exposure. The skin and eyes must be protected against direct exposure. Suitable protective clothing must therefore be worn in room that do not offer direct protection.
